the native lower austrian computer mouse illustrator bernd püribauer has been known in the austrian art scene for many years, as a graphic artist, as a cartoonist in various magazines and as the illustrator of the “animal of the week” in the falter.
now he devotes himself primarily to his contemporary toilet brush art. in germany he was awarded silver at the german cartoon prize in 2012 and in the same year he received a state grant. his stage design in the rabenhof theater “the sword of the east” was nominated for the nestroy prize in 2015.
In 2010 he founded the dada band turbodeli. his object installation “fukushima aquarium” in the art box of the museum quarter in 2014 caused a great stir at the japanese embassy.
he plays the guitar damn bad but still entertains his audience like a virtuoso.
