ROBERTO LAURO – bild und skulptur

24.06.26 – 01.08.2026

The fascinating encounter with dancing reflections of light on the rippling water during my youth on the seashore of Jersey shaped my later artistic work. The currents of the water, reminiscent of liquid glass, and the interplay of color and space created by the light led me to the concept of the ever-changing image.

The two-dimensional tableau, which—through its abstraction from the subject—enables a perception of rhythm and color akin to that in music, was followed by spatial compositions featuring torn-open metal plates and, later, three-dimensional sculptures incorporating glass elements. Light as force, energy, color, and rhythm is the fundamental concept behind my work.
