born in germany in 1959, SUGARPLUM set out to experience new models of life after finishing school in 1976. inspired by the lively ideas of the 1960s, she moved from nuremberg to the friedrichshof commune (burgenland) in austria in 1981. there she became familiar with performance, actionism, dance and painting through her encounter with otto muehl.
