photography is actually an illusion: you think you see everything that happens in front of the camera – and yet there is something else going on.
a kind of mystery that photography harbours because it is also a discreet artistic medium.
the manual intervention of reduced, gestural painting and abstract, graphic lines in my pictures leads away from the representational nature of photographic depiction
and initiates a transformation of the motif, right up to its dissolution.
a process that not only awakens my curiosity as a mental game, but also stimulates my desire to experiment with the interplay of different techniques and genres.
