maria vill and peter de kimpe’s work has strong similarities. their focus is not only on photographs of relatively small objects, but both place particular emphasis on the way they are presented. it is about form, nuances of colour, light and shadow, and especially about materiality/materiality. in the exhibition at artdepot, their works are juxtaposed, which makes for exciting encounters.
