bernd püribauer, a computer mouse artist from lower austria, has been known in the austrian art scene for many years, as a graphic artist, as a cartoonist in various magazines and as the cartoonist of the “animal of the week” in falter. now he devotes himself mainly to his contemporary toilet brush art. in germany he was awarded silver at the german cartoon prize in 2012 and in the same year he received a state scholarship. his stage design at the rabenhoftheater “das schwert des ostens” was nominated for the nestroypreis in 2015. in 2010 he founded the dada band turbodeli. his object installation “fukushima aquarium” in the art-box of the museum quarter in 2014 caused a sensation at the japanese embassy. he plays the guitar really badly but still entertains his audience with virtuosity.
