the artist was born on 15.11.1925. he studied at the graphische lehr- und versuchsanstalt, at the akademie der bildenden künste in vienna with prof. josef dobrowsky and prof. herbert boeckl as well as at the art school in guildford near london. at the beginning, he was associated with the viennese school of fantastic realism, then interrupted his artistic career to devote himself to the art trade and, since 1990, has devoted himself exclusively to painting in the style of abstract expressionism. today, his works are an integral part of various private collections in austria, germany and switzerland.
